Ben Closson

BenBen Closson is a graduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi – Mānoa, pursuing his master’s degree in Linguistics with a concentration in Language Documentation. He received his bachelor’s degree in Iberian (and Latin American) Studies from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, in 2013. He has always been interested in Linguistics, but he first pursued this interest via modern language study. He studied in Argentina with AFS Intercultural Programs as a high school student in the 2007-2008 academic year, and later studied abroad in Brazil through his undergraduate university. He hopes to help with documentation efforts of endangered languages in the future, and sees potential for the use of computer science and technology in documentation and revitalization efforts.
