Facilitators: Center for Language & Technology staff

Searching for good language activities or strategies for better organizing and running your classroom? Need a place to commiserate with your colleagues about that class you just don’t know WHAT to do with? Never fear – TASS is here!

The Teaching Assistant Survival Society (TASS) will meet on the third Friday of each month (January-March) and April 25 (fourth Friday because of Good Friday the previous week) this semester, providing an informal forum where TAs can socialize and share ideas/resources on issues of importance to them.

Each TASS get-together has an experienced facilitator to get the ball rolling. Snacks and beverages will be provided to fuel the group idea sharing and allow ample time for socializing and networking. It is our hope that TASS will help develop a good support network for language TAs. So, whether you’re new at teaching or an “old pro,” whether you have serious questions to discuss or just want to “hang out,” we hope you will make TASS a regular “must go to” event.

NOTE: Although TASS is primarily geared toward TAs, interested faculty, staff, and graduate students are welcome as well.
