(CLT) AI roundtable: Who’s writing now?

October 29 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Squares flow along two twisting paths towards a circle that's being built out of the squares. This is surrounded by a circle of chairs. The words "AI Roundtable: Who's Writing Now?" overlay the image. A logo for "Professional Learning Session" sits in the bottom left corner.

Description: One of the main challenges generative AI poses is updating teaching practices so that learning still happens when students do use AI. Join us for an open forum that provides a supportive space to think out loud together, raise concerns, and consider the questions you may have about generative AI. This session turns to a topic many of us are already wrestling with: how the use of AI may shape students’ writing development, especially in writing-intensive courses, where the stakes feel highest. In addition to sharing our thoughts and insights, we will also try out a new tool that audits an assignment for its vulnerability to AI use.
