Description: Every semester, the UHM Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) gives undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in research projects with faculty. Interested students choose a topic or discuss options with a faculty member then submit a proposal. This program is a great way for students to develop and apply skills in a topic of interest and is a noteworthy addition to the student résumé. Faculty in the Center for Language & Technology (CLT) have led a number of UROP projects with students in previous years. This year we are inviting undergraduate students in the College of Arts Languages & Letters to consider proposing or developing a research project with one or more members of the CLT faculty.

CLT faculty member, Dr. Richard Medina, will be conducting this information session open to undergraduate students in the College to provide more details on potential projects, topic areas, and opportunities to work with the CLT through UROP. Past UROP projects in the CLT included work on using Generative AI for language learning and resources but there are other possibilities!
