The Center for Language & Technology (CLT) supports the informed use and integration of technology into the College of Arts, Languages & Letters (CALL) curriculum. Check our mission statement for more information.
Submit a reservation request via our online reservation form. Reservation requests must be submitted at least 24 business hours in advance. Reservations are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from cltmanoa@hawaii.edu.
You can contact us via phone 808.956.8047 or email cltmanoa@hawaii.edu.
Our main office in 256 Moore Hall is open Monday to Friday, 8a – 4.30p (closed on holidays and weekends).
The Diamond Head computer lab (Moore Hall 153A) and the Ewa computer lab (Moore Hall 153B) can be reserved by CALL faculty and staff through our online reservation form. When not in use, the labs are open for regular student access Monday to Friday, 9a – 4p (closed on holidays and weekends) during the spring and fall semesters. During the summer, the labs are not open for regular student access.
Summer courses are offered by Outreach College, not the College of Arts, Languages & Letters (CALL), so we do not receive any funding to operate the labs during the summer sessions. In summer, the CLT labs are open only for special programs such as the NFLRC Summer Institute and programs that pay us a lab fee.
You can find two types of resources under the Resources tab on the CLT homepage: designing, developing online & hti courses, and online teaching resources.
We promote the use of free tools and, therefore, do not provide access to commercial products. You can find a list of tools that are either free or have a trial version in our PLN Tool Browser.
We can help you with questions related to the use of the facilities and equipment owned by the CLT. Any concerns regarding general use classrooms (non CLT) should be addressed to the Center for Instructional Support (CIS). Please note, however, that we do not provide support if you have problems with your UH-owned computer or other equipment. If you need technical assistance with your UH-owned computer, please contact the Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk.
Laulima is managed by Information Technology Services (ITS). If you need assistance with Laulima, please visit the ITS Laulima Support page for more information.
