Songmin Kim

Song Min Kim, Information Technology Specialist, has his M.S. in Information & Computer Science and B.S. in Mathematics. He has worked as a project manager and director in a construction company and travel agency in Seoul, South Korea. After over 10 years in his career, he came to Hawai‘i and studied again about Information & Computer Science at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He developed a prototype website for Homeless in Hawai‘i based on Semantic web technology extended by Ontology as his Master’s degree project with Dr. Luz Quiroga. His interests lie in the areas of Computer Mediated Education (CME) and Computer Mediated Communication (CMC), as well as Computer Security, Network Science and Algorithm Theory. He joined the Center for Language & Technology in 2015 as a research assistant and is now working as an IT Specialist.
