Koyuki Mitani
Koyuki Mitani is a graduate assistant at the Center for Language & Technology (CLT). She is a PhD student in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM). Prior to coming to UHM, she earned her MAs in Applied Linguistics at Texas Tech University and Japanese Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has over 10 years of experience of teaching Japanese and English at various universities and institutions in Japan and the US. She has conducted research on classroom instructions and presented her studies at international conferences. Her research interests include Japanese language pedagogy, Japanese Sociolinguistics, Second language material/curriculum development, and Second language use in institutional settings.
