  2. Start the PPT(“Start Show” or “Present”)

Tip: If you have any presentation file, open the “chroma key(Hide screen).pptx” on the desktop screen.

Step 2. Select a background image

We prepared a number of background images for you to choose from; you will see them on the desktop of the “Step 2” computer.

  1. Select the background image which you want from the screen and double-click to open.
  2. When the image opens, click on the green button at the upper left of the window to make the background image display in full-screen mode(or use the View menu to enter full-screen mode).

Tip: If you want to use a video background or an image from your USB stick, YouTube, etc., just play your video or open your image and make it a full screen.

Step 3. Insert your USB memory stick for storing your videos

Now move to the “Step 3” computer. Find the cable with the USB receptacle.

  1. Insert your USB memory stick for storing your videos and wait a few seconds. The system, lights, camera, etc. will be ready to record.

  3. Check the make sure that the big TV (live view) and small monitor(final cut video screen) show the stage (you) with your presentation file and background.
  4. Check to make sure the ceiling lights are on.

Step 4. Activate recording, count down, and record

You can start recording and stop recording by pushing the One Button.

  1. When you are ready to record, push the start/stop button.
  2. You will see a 10- second countdown on the small screen.
  3. Use your 10-second countdown to place yourself in the actor’s position (don’t forget to bring the powerpoint clicker).
  4. When the countdown finishes, start your presentation.
  5. When you finish your presentation, push the start/stop button again.
  6. Allow at least one minute for the system to save your video on your USB memory stick.

Tips

  • The default video record setting is for a presentation. So, the video will be flipped horizontally such as a mirror. It is good for checking your movements by yourself on the live view screen, but your audience will watch your right hand as your left hand. So. if you have a plan to explain the correct left or right direction, ask us. We can change the setting to normal mode (non-mirror style).
  • You can create multiple video clips. When you push the start and stop, it will save a separate video clip each time. You don’t need to pull out and plug in again your USB memory stick every time if you are making multiple videos.
  • This system focuses on USB memory sticks instead of USB based external hard disk drives. It may work fine with USB external HDDs, but it may show different popup windows from time to time such as Mac TimeMachine backup select window. We strongly recommend using USB memory sticks to avoid confusion.
  • When you play your video clips, DO NOT PLAY FROM YOUR USB MEMORY STICKS DIRECTLY. It may not match between audio and video depending on your device’s speed. Please, copy your video clips to your PC or Mac to play them.
  • We use MP4 format for video clips. We do not support other video format types.
